Biogas Engineering was founded in 2016 with a single goal: make renewable gas projects more reliable, buildable, and replicable. What began with landfill gas-to-energy experience has grown into a company delivering RNG balance-of-plant systems across multiple waste feedstocks — landfill, dairy, and wastewater.

Gautam Arora
CEO & President
20+ years driving renewable energy innovation and strategy. Gautam is focused on improving the world’s environment and is passionate about leaving the earth in better condition than he found it by continually growing Biogas Engineering.
By leading Biogas Engineering, he is creating innovative turnkey solutions to utilize biogas (digester gas, landfill gas) in a usable form of energy. He has personally led design efforts, managed, operated, and maintained several large-scale biogas/LFG processing and upgrading projects.
David Wambold
Chief Financial Officer
40+ years of experience in driving profitable growth for service companies. David is focused on helping Biogas Engineering grow, while putting a scalable administrative structure in place to support the company for years to come.
He has a diverse background, from Board member to CFO to Operations VP. Dave has worked in small high-growth companies, as well as large complex corporations, and is accomplished at leading highly visible multi-functional teams and communicating effectively from the Board of Directors to individual mentorship programs.
John del Rossi
Vice President - Business Development (USA)
17+ years of international and domestic commercial experience, with 5+ years of RNG specific experience. John is responsible for the legal and business development areas of Biogas Engineering and has a track record of advancing growth in the renewable natural gas (RNG) and biogas sectors.
He is skilled in driving projects from concept to execution through strategic partnerships, business development initiatives, and the negotiation of complex agreements. Experienced in managing EPC contracts, joint ventures, and compliance matters, balancing risk with opportunity to protect organizational interests.
Dennis W. Doody
Vice President International Business
15+ years of customer service and international business experience. Dennis is responsible for working with the Biogas Engineering team to continually develop international business, while also setting up and overseeing an in-house manufacturing unit in India.
He has extensive experience as a strategic and customer-focused executive holding positions in operations, global technical sales, engineering, and project management, with a passion and success in driving profitable sales.
Jay Maruska
Vice President of Execution
28+ years of construction management experience. Jay oversees and directs the successful project execution from an engineering, procurement, and construction perspective for all BGE capital projects, as well as the associated development activities.
He has experience leading all aspects of construction projects, including the equipment procurement strategy, managing contracts and technical agreements, and reviewing project capital estimates, yearly project capital budgets, and project capital forecasts.
Zachary Venable
Vice President of Landfill Services
20+ years of experience driving growth, operational efficiency, and environmental sustainability across energy, waste management, and infrastructure sectors. Zachary is responsible for creating, building, and overseeing the landfill environmental services segment of Biogas Engineering.
He has a wide range of experience driving growth, operational efficiency, and environmental sustainability across energy, waste management, and infrastructure sectors. He is currently the Vice Chair for the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA), Extract & Control Committee.
Madhur Mittal
Managing Director of BGE India Ltd.
18+ years guiding 200+ RNG projects from concept to startup. Madhur is responsible for leading the India team, while continuing to grow the Biogas Engineering business in Southeast Asia.
He has many years of experience in initiating and delivering sustained results and achievements for renowned Indian MNCs, across a wide range of civil infrastructure development projects. He is skilled in Project Management, Project Coordination, Execution, and Liaison– both as a leader and a teammate.
Nek Singh Thakur
Director and Head of Engineering
16+ years of experience in RNG and the Oil & Gas industry. Nek is responsible for leading the Engineering team in India.
He is an experienced Process Engineer having excellent exposure to Renewables and Oil & Gas industry for both new and revamped projects. Skilled in P&ID development, Process Control, HYSYS, HYSYS EDR, Pumps hydraulics, Equipment sizing, Relief scenario analysis, Vendor Document Review (VDR) troubleshooting, commissioning support, etc. Participated in vendor HAZOP, plant commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
Tinju Panicker
Director and Head of Operations
16+ years of experience in the Green Energy sector and the Oil & Gas industry. Tinju is responsible for leading the Operations team in India, where he has built and leads a high-performing team that executes projects in India and the United States
He has progressive experience across the Oil & Gas and Green Energy sectors, delivering complex brownfield and greenfield projects for leading owners and EPC organizations globally
